New Moths Found on 9 September 2007

A warm night resulting in a huge harvest of Large Yellow Underwings and just a few each of other  varieties: Light Brown Apple Moth, Setacious Hebrew Character, Copper Underwing Agg, Common Wainscot, Stenoptilia/Platyptilia, Garden Carpet, Spectacle and a rather worn Large Ranunculus.

Those worth photographing were:

• a new find in the form of a Grey Pine Carpet,
• the other variation on the colouring of the Common Marbled Carpet (previously photographed here),
• a slightly worn Cabbage Moth (previously photographed here),
• The Snout (previously photographed here),
• three forms of what we think are all Square-spot Rustics (previously photographed here).
