New Moths Found on 15 October 2006

Our very late summer persists with the temperature over 10 C through the night.  A small number of moths in the trap, but many worth photographing:

• most predominant were several Lesser Yellow Underwings,
• a Green-brindled Crescent (previously seen here),
• a Blair's Shoulder-knot,
• a Grey Shoulder-knot,
• a Rush Veneer,
• what we think are two Epirritas (Autumnal, November or Pale November) which are very difficult to tell apart.

Others in the trap were:

• Angel Shades, Garden Rose Tortrix and a Common Marbled Carpet.
