Baked Figs With Blue Cheese

  1. Heat the oven to 200 C.
  2. Cut each fig vertically into four but leaving the base intact.
  3. Slice the cheese such that you have four thinnish pieces per fig.
  4. Place the figs in a baking tray, insert the pieces of cheese into each fig and then wrap a piece of prosciutto/bacon around each fig.
  5. Drizzle the figs generously with balsamic vinegar.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes.
  7. Serve with soft bread that will soak up the juices.
