Currywurst Sauce

Note: to be served with bratwurst.
Serves: 6.
Ingredients
- 250 ml tomato ketchup
- 0.25 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 5 tsp medium curry powder
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 0.25 tsp cayenne pepper (may be reduced or omitted for a
less spicy result)
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- a stock cube of your choice
- 6 tbsp boiling water
Method
- Warm the tomato ketchup at a low heat in a small saucepan.
- Add the bicarbonate of soda and stir well until the ketchup
returns to looking like tomato ketchup again.
- Mix in the other dry ingredients.
- Dissolve the stock cube in the boiling water and add to the
saucepan.
- Stir in the Worcestershire sauce.
- Serve beside bratwurst.
