New Moths Found on 20 June 2004

Forward to 3 July 2004 moth page, back to 6 June 2004 moth page, to general moths page.

Didn't pick a good night unfortunately - cool and windy, though it didn't actually rain.  That said, got a nice snap of a Snout. As on 6th June,  Heart & Dart was in the majority, but there were also a fair number of Scoparia pyralella (note that this species includes the wonderfully named Scoparia ambigualis, so I can't say I'm certain about the identification).  We got a better picture of a Scoparia pyrallella on a subsequent weekend.  Also ran's were a Dark Arches (below), some Double Square-spots, a Common Quaker and a Shears.
