New Moths Found on 16 July 2006

Forward to 23 July 2006 moth page, back to 9 July 2006 moth page, to general moths page.

Hot again, with a reasonably crowded trap.  Most populous was an infestation of Endotricha flammealis, Large Nutmeg and Common Footmen.  A Poplar Hawk-moth and a Small Emerald were hiding in the undergrowth beside the trap.

Silver Y
Dwarf Cream Wave

The only ones worth photographing in the trap were:

  • a Silver Y, which we haven't seen since 2004.
  • a Dwarf Cream Wave, which we've not come across before at all (thanks to brianhstone for confirming the ID).
