A warm and damp night. Only a single Common Footman this time but loads of Riband Waves, the Endotricha flammealis infestation continues and is joined by an Argyrotaenia ljungiana (previously seen here) infestation. Also our first Chinese Character and Brimstone Moth of the year; always welcome.
Others worth photographing in the trap were:
a Yellow-tail, beautifully furry and with a distinctive stance (thanks to Joan Oakley for pointing out our confusion with the White Ermine),
the Silver Y again, previously seen here but the creature had such a look on its face that this shot was worth including,
a beautiful Mother Of Pearl (previously seen here),
Yponomeuta agg, one of the small Ermines, all of which look extremely similar,
a Common Rustic (previously seen here),
a Cnephasia Agg. - a Grey or Light Grey Tortrix (previously seen here).
